Fiesta Pictures!!

 We had such a wonderful time at the Cinco De Mayo Fiesta!! We were so glad those that could come....came, and we sure missed those that were unable to make it.

We had tons of fun chatting, watching the kids play, snacking, and hitting the Pinata! We are so grateful for the wonderful items that were donated for the Birth Mother Baskets. Hannah told me how grateful the Birth Moms were to receive those sweet baskets. I was at her office when one of the Birth Grandmas stopped by and picked up one of the baskets for her daughter. This Birth Mom just recently placed about 6 months ago...and the Birth Grandma was so appreciative that we would do something so kind for her daughter. These women will be dealing with this decision for the rest of their lives. Wondering if they truly made the right decision for their child...and I think by remembering them, even with something so simple, they remember why they did it...and that their child is truly where our Heavenly Father knew they should be. Thank you again for all that was donated!

Then it was time for the Pinata! I was the only adult that got to play, OK, I guess it was just for the little guy! They were all so good at swinging that bat! I think we have some Baseball players on our hands!!

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta!

Hi everyone!! We are having a party for EVERYONE!! 

Come celebrate FSA with us on May 5th from 4-6pm! 

We will have some fun activities for the kids!

Please bring a Mexican Appetizer to share!

We will also be putting together Birth Mother's Day Baskets. We are making 5 of them, so if you would like to donate...please bring 5 of an item to include in the baskets!! We will put the baskets together that night and then deliver them the following week.

We are so sad that Jaymie is gone...but we are so excited for their new adventure!! Jaymie Thank You so much for everything that you have done for the Phoenix FSA! It is so much work starting up something like this....and we are so happy you did...because I know that it helped me going to even the girls nights!! Thank you thank you thank you! We will miss you!! But have so much fun in Utah!!

I also want to introduce myself. I am Shanna Bentley and they asked me to be the new Chairman of the Phoenix chapter. My husband and I have been married for 5 1/2 years and we just adopted our first child. Our son Davis was born March 3rd, 2012. He is the joy of our lives and we couldn't feel more blessed. We are so grateful for the beautiful gift called adoption. Having the girls nights with FSA really helped me feel better about everything...and even just being able to talk to women that had been through the crazy ride called infertility helped me know that I really wasn't the only person going through it.

I am so excited to be apart of FSA! I'm excited to meet and get to know everyone better! But more importantly I'm so excited for all of us to get together so we can help one another through the different stages of the process we are going through.

Thank you for your patience through this transition....I have no idea what I'm doing. But I'm super excited to get things going!!

Thank you again Jaymie! We are going to miss you (she's still on our Facebook page)!

To register for the academy you will need to either mail or take a check into the Phoenix office.

The cost is $20 per couple. The check can be written out to LDS Family Services. Just let them know that you are registering for the academy. They are unable to take money in the office so it has to be a check. The academy is filled with a ton of great information about all aspects of  the adoption process. My husband and I have been able to attend multiple times and it is amazing.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.

CONGRATULATIONS

Josh & Elise Adopted their sweet little baby boy  Bennett.  We all couldn't be happier for them. He is one handsome little man. Congrats Josh & Elise.  YAAAY for the miracle of adoption.

ADOPTION ACADEMY

Don't forget to attend the adoption academy this Saturday (details are in the previous post)  We will have a jar at the academy that you can donate $$$ to birthmoms attending school. It will help them get the necessary school supplies for thier children or for themselves. Any amount would be really appreciated.
